A newly converted 100 year old barn - full of character and furnished to the highest standard.

Church Byres is a newly converted 100 year old barn full of character including original beams and large, log fireplaces, situated on the edge of a quiet village one mile from the A303 and overlooking open countryside. The interior has been furnished to the highest standard. Guests have use of the large sitting room, gardens and are served a full English breakfast while enjoying the views from the French windows. Wireless broadband internet is available to guests.

The village of South Barrow is between Wincanton, Yeovil and Sherborne. It is ideally placed for exploring the South Somerset/Dorset area and is just one hour from the World Heritage Jurassic coast.

Nearby is the historic town of Sherborne, famous for its Abbey. The surrounding rolling countryside includes views of the ancient site of Camelot – reputedly the fortress of King Arthur.

Trains
Nearest railway station is Castle Cary. The station is on the London to Penzance line south west of London Paddington and also on the Bristol to Weymouth line south of Bristol Temple Meads. The two routes share tracks between Westbury and Castle Cary stations, and are both operated by the First Great Western train operating company, which also manages the station.

Castle Cary station is the closest station to the site of the Glastonbury Festival, which is held near Pilton.

Other stations include Sherborne Station serving the town of Sherborne in Dorset, England. It is situated on the West of England Main Line between London Waterloo and Exeter. The station is operated by South West Trains.
